Please give an example of a challenge that you have set yourself and describe how you have gone about achieving it.
I have set myself a challenge of improving my entrepreneurial and leadership skills whilst at University. Having a passion for [Sport], I decided to establish an on-campus amateur [Sport] club. I organised an interest group and collected petitions to lobby the university for permission to set up a [Sport] club. I then sat in meetings with various university bodies. Having been granted permission to establish an amateur [Sport] club, I became the president. I organised training sessions, socials, liaised with the Sports Committee and coordinated and managed the executives of the society. This was an important event in my life because it was a test of my knowledge and skills acquired over the years and a personal challenge. By [Sport] for a mere twelve minutes, I realised just how much can be achieved in such a short amount of time and decided to set myself new challenges in different areas of life. In retrospect, this event allowed me to progress in life not only in terms of amateur [Sport] but in overcoming my fears and embracing new challenges in areas such as academia and personal life. My victory made me realise that I wanted to become a solicitor because I would get an opportunity to operate in a challenging environment and strive towards constant intellectual and personal improvement.

I am interested in working for a law firm because I enjoy working in a team to solve complex problems that are at the forefront of today’s commerce.
